There are many ways to support Community LINC’s mission of ending homelessness for families. You can make a one-time or recurring gift, donate stock, give directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or a Legacy Gift that keeps on giving. Every donation helps provide housing, resources, and support to families in need, creating a lasting impact in our community. Your generosity not only changes lives but also brings the joy of giving to a meaningful cause.

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving is one of the most impactful and affordable ways to support Community LINC’s mission of ending family homelessness. By spreading your contribution over smaller monthly amounts, you provide consistent, reliable funding that helps families secure housing, build stability, and thrive throughout the year. Whether it’s $10 or $100 a month, your recurring gift creates lasting change while fitting seamlessly into your budget. Together, we can ensure that families in our community have the resources and support they need to build brighter futures.

Stock Gifts

Community LINC gratefully accepts gifts of stock, which can be a tax-efficient way to support our mission. Donating stock allows you to avoid capital gains taxes on the appreciated value while making a meaningful impact. To give a gift of stock, simply contact us for our brokerage account information. Then, work with your broker to initiate the transfer of shares directly to our account. Be sure to notify us once the transfer is complete so we can provide proper acknowledgment of your generous gift.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution

You can donate directly from your IRA if you’re 70½ or older. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) of up to $100,000 per year lets you support causes you love while reducing your taxable income—especially helpful if you’re required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
For those 73 and older a Qualified Charitable Distribution can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution, lowering your taxable income. Just ensure the distribution goes straight from your IRA to a qualified charity.

Planned Giving – Leaving a Legacy

You can designate Community LINC as a beneficiary of your IRA, providing a meaningful way to support a cause after your lifetime. This is a simple and efficient method to leave a lasting legacy and make a difference. Please contact your IRA custodian to get the beneficiary designation form.

Beneficiary designations can be made from multiple sources beyond just an IRA. These sources include:

  • Life Insurance Policies
  • Reitrement Plans (401(k), 403(b), etc.)
  • Bank Accounts: Many bank accounts, including checking, savings, and certificates of deposit (CDs), can have a Payable on Death (POD) beneficiary designation, allowing the assets to pass directly to the named beneficiary upon your passing.
  • Brokerage Accounts
  • Real Estate
  • Trusts
  • Annuities
