Three Ways To Help!

Shift One – 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Shift One Options: Select a preferred optional role

Option A
Volunteer Hospitality – 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Assist Volunteer Manager with volunteer check-in and hospitality of volunteers. Dress for this volunteer position is comfortable, no jeans; requires standing and sitting for approximately four (4) hours

Option B
Housewarming Volunteers – 4:30 pm – 7:30 PM
Assist guests in donating to fund various aspects of Community LINC’s services. Dress for this position is all-black business or cocktail attire, requires standing and walking for approximately four (4) hours.

Shift Two – 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm

Schedule of events: All of Shift Two volunteers are needed for each of the following activities.

Dress for this position is all-black business or cocktail attire, requires standing and walking for approximately four (4) hours.

8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Set-up for auction distribution.

Transfer silent auction items from their presentation stands to the collection area.

8:45 PM to 9:10 PM
Fund-A-Family Spotters/Runners

Work with the auctioneer in the ballroom during the live auction as live packages are sold, record bid information to include bid number, bidder number and bid amount. Volunteers are required to remain in their section until the end of the live auction and fund a need.

9:15 PM to 10:15 PM
Auction Distribution

Transfer silent auction items from their presentation stands to the collection area. Some volunteers will retrieve items, and others will begin the boxing process.

9:30 PM to 11:30 PM
Clean-up

Transfer wine and other items from foyer to ballroom and item pick up area to storage room after guests have departed. Transport signage, supplies, and other materials to the storage room.

Guest Registration & Check Out 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Register event attendees by interacting with guests, requesting names, retrieving bidder information, asking them to register a credit card and cell phone for mobile bidding, and operating a credit card terminal. Interaction may also include answering questions, trouble shooting, orienting guest with event time-line and location.

Outgoing personality, customer service skills, and computer skills are necessary for this position; half  of these volunteers will be seated, half will stand

Dress for this position is business or cocktail attire, requires sitting for up to four (4) hours.

  • A one hour training session is provided and required for: Bid assistants, Housewarming Volunteers, sales and Guest registration.
  • Bid assistants, Housewarming volunteers and Sales training will have three online webinar options.
  • Details and training time options will be posted soon
  • All volunteers will have access to the hospitality room for food, drinks and rest before and after their shifts.
