The Karen and Hank Herrmann Humanitarian award is presented each year to a person who demonstrates extraordinary philanthropy in the Kansas City community. We are proud to honor this well-deserving recipient at the 2016 Rent Party!

Save the date for the 2016 Rent Party October 1, 2016 at the Sheraton Crown Center Exhibit Hall! Be the Key and join us for a fun-filled night of auctions, dinner, drinks and dancing!

With your help, Community LINC raised nearly $650,000 at last year's Rent Party, "Raise the Roof!"

For 27 years, Community LINC has transformed lives for 4,000 families with nearly 9,000 children. These families were once homeless and hopeless. With your help, we have changed their lives.

Rent parties originated in 1920s Harlem in the heart of New York City. Tenants hired a musician or band to play for the neighborhood or building and then passed the hat to raise money for their rent. Naming our signature fundraising event in celebration of the rent parties is a perfect fit for Community LINC. We gather at the Rent Party to celebrate life in the heart of Kansas City and pay the rent for the families we serve as they transition from homelessness into self-sufficiency.

We hope you will join us in October for another night of fun and philanthropy to change lives and end homelessness.
